Those Who Bet

YTD: $-46

Those of you who bet on me leaving the house by 3 on Saturday are big losers. I didn't manager to leave the house until about 2 on Sunday due to me coming down with the little cold that has been going around this house the last few days. I have been sicker than a dog - evil sick dogs... Well, I shouldn't say that since it was really only a head cold - but it has managed to make my life a pain in the butt the last few days. I am really happy that I didn't have to work with my father-in-law while I have been sick, now that would just suck.
So what have I been doing with my free time you may ask. I have been making new pics for my DeviantArt account. I have made 2 new ones since my last writing and I am rendering my third. I really need a new computer. The renderings have taken about 12 - 13 hours each, one only took 2.5 but it was very low quality. Today's rendering will probably take about 20 hours, I started it rendering at about 9 and it is only 20% done right now (2:00 PM). *sighs* When will I learn?
Today I have tried to put together a few more job applications, since I got the official "we hate you - and went with someone else for the job you wanted - haha" letter from the state job that I wanted. I can almost feel the dramatic loss of moneys. That job would have given me about a $5 raise from CMS. Yeah - feel sorry for me - the very poor me.
Later,

Notice

You will all notice (no doubt) that it has been over a month since my last post. Life has been - well - lifey. I have been working with my father-in-law, which has been the hardest labor in my entire life. The other relatives that work for him tell me that this is a day off, easy work. Bastards - being all like strong and shit. BTW, for those of you that don't know, my father-in-law works as a masonry contractor. He does stuff like brickwork, manufactured stone, and natural stone installation. He is amazing. I have have always appreciated his work, but I appreciate it so much more now that I have over 6 days of this back-bending labor behind me. Prior to my recent work experience (which can account for 2 weeks of early to bed, early to rise behavior) I went up to my family's cabin in Idaho (I will never get you guys pictures [a little reverse psychology never hurt]) for a week. Short of that, I have just been lazy and busy at the same time.
Somewhere in that mess, I managed to get a few of my very old renderings (courtacy of Bryce 3D [the original baby!], Bryce 4 [little newer and a wee bit better]) uploaded to a little place I like to call DeviantArt. Click it, I know you want to. I have also managed to get Bryce 5 (much newer, and a whole hell of a lot better) and make a few new renderings. Ok, I lied. I have only actually rendered one new one with Bryce 5 - but I have a second one drafted up. It does matter that it takes 13+ hours to render and durring that time I can't use my laptop (which coincidentally has a nasty habit of randomly freezing up and giving me the BSoD at the worst possible times). Makes me wish that I had enough money to get a new desktop ... hint hint.
Well if that didn't make you feel good about giving me money for nothing, you will appreciate that I have taken the next (free) step in getting my computer repair business up and running. I got some business cards (which I realize that I hadn't told ya'll yet...) and made a simple black and white advertisement (since I am so poor that my printer can't do color - due to the lack of a [working] color cartridge). I took some of my cards and stapled them to the bottom of my ads and put a few of them up around the community college campus. With any luck I will get a call or two and I can pay my bills for another month instead of moving back in with my father-in-law.
Man it seems like I can't stop talking tonite. I went over to my friend Jens last nite and had dinner - which unfortunately wasn't quite my style. She had generously prepared a dish called Chinese Chicken which was ok, with a fruit salad (which appeared to contain almost rotten fruit - as in not fresh any more) as well as a salad. Very nice gesture indeed, however nothing was quite up to my refined pallet. The best part of the whole meal was the Arbor Mist Wine (click to see which wine I enjoyed) - which I highly recommend to people new to the wine scene (since those all ready in the scene know that most wine requires a certain "getting used to it" period - which I haven't made it to yet).

BREAKING NEWS: Genso / Baren / My buddy from SLC who went into the military - is going back to Japan!!! Man I have to talk him out of this - what is that hippie thinking??? Mother-f ... um ... hippie! Kinda makes me wish that he had a reason to stay in the states. Just when I thought he was settling down and all, he up and pops this on me. You can read the same thing I did here. Feel free to leave him a random comment about how he is abandoning his life and his buddy :(

Well me thinks that my wife has the right idea - she went to bed almost 2 hours ago. I have no plans for tomorrow, which means that I will probably dick around until about 1, then try to talk myself and my wife into going somewhere and doing something, which will likely fail since there is so much house work to do around here - which she will try to talk me into doing - which I will profusely deny and retreat to the safety of the computer. So I figure that I will leave the house around 3.

Wish me luck,
~ Mr. Me ~
